Kind of off the beaten path. Food was excellent. Place is very clean. Service was wonderful and very attentive. Nestled in a nice little town in Ontario. Many TVs full bar.

Great service, very friendly and accommodating. Very clean restaurant. Breakfast was delicious (especially the home fries) and fruit was fresh. Good response on the coffee refills.

    THEY CALL THEIR CUSTOMERS LIARS.
The most disrespectful and completely unacceptable service I have ever received at a restaraunt - THIS GOES BEYOND JUST BAD SERVICE.

The morning of Sunday March 24, a group of 10 of us came in to Sandee's for breakfast/lunch.  We waited 45 mins to get our orders, when they finally arrived only 5 of us got our food, the rest were left waiting.  The first 5 were already done eating by the time the other half of us got our meals.  My friend ordered a chicken sandwich with a Caesar salad, and half-way through eating she found a large, sharp piece of plastic in her sandwich underneath the chicken - and we all saw her take it right out of the middle of her sandwich.  She called the waitress over and told her about it.  The waitress, Sandee, asked her if she wanted another sandwich prepared, however because it took so long to get our food in the first place, we were already late for another event.  The waitress then asked her exactly where she found the plastic in the sandwich, so my friend showed her, and then she took the sandwich away to the kitchen.  The waitress came back a few minutes later and proceeded to ask more questions about the plastic - questions we had already answered - i.e. where in the sandwich it was found, was there sauce on it, etc. etc.  Another guy that was with us told the waitress that he literally watched her pull the plastic right out of the sandwich.  The waitress proceeded to say that she's "just trying to figure out where it came from, because we have nothing back there (kitchen) with that type of plastic".  By that point, it's obvious that the waitress is questioning our sincerity about the situation, but nothing more was said.  When the bills came my friend received 20% off her order - for a SANDWICH THAT HAD PLASTIC IN IT AND THAT SHE DIDN'T EVEN GET TO EAT HALF OF.  After paying the bills, the waitress asked, "did I give you guys bad service or something, you just seem so mad", to which we explain that if a customer found plastic in their food at any other restaurant the meal would most likely be comped, or at least receive more than just 20% off - especially since she wasn't even able to finish eating the sandwich.  The waitress proceeded to say that the plastic couldn't have come from them, so I asked her where did it come from then - to which the waitress explicitly stated that she doesn't believe that my friend found the plastic in the sandwich and that she is a LIAR. The waitress explicitly and REPEATEDLY CALLED MY FRIEND A LIAR.  I then asked the waitress what her name was, to which she very smugly replied "I'm Sandee - the OWNERS DAUGHTER".  She proceeded to say that she "did a nice thing giving 20% off the meal"...A MEAL THAT HAD PLASTIC IN IT.

The saying "the customer is always right" comes to mind in this situation.  In reality this is not always true, nevertheless when you are trying to run a business it should be kept in mind, because it's the customers that keep you in business.  When a business calls its customers liars to their faces, it's a sure way to lose A LOT of business - especially in small towns.  Many of the people at our table are small business owners in the area and are all explicitly aware of the time and effort it takes to run a successful small, family owned business - so they would NEVER rip off another small business.
To be called a liar at a restaurant is not just bad service, it is completely DISRESPECTFUL and UNACCEPTABLE.  I have never been so poorly treated at a restaurant in my entire life.  Will never come back to this restaurant, and will be telling everyone in the area to avoid it...unless they feel like being called a liar.
